Feeling frustrated and bored during lockdown, Em decided to put on a fancy dress to take the trash out one fateful Thursday. Her friend snapped a picture of it and thus DropthatTrash was born. Her comedic Instagram quickly became a place where people could come together to laugh and feel like they were in a community of strong women. From her Instagram, Em built a loyal following that bonded with her over lockdown, dating, and life.
In April of 2021, Em and her friend A.M. published the book, Girl Get the Wine, which is a fictionalised retelling of Em's dating life. Having received floods of positive reviews and messages from people talking about how the book gave them the courage to put themselves out there. Em and A.M. are currently working on the second book.

The goal of Drop that Trash is to remind people that if something is not serving you, throw it away- literally, drop that trash.
